With the increase of population, housing shortage is becoming a more and more serious problem in large cities. Some people don’t have their own rooms to live in and have to spend a lot of money renting a room. Some others have three or four generations live in the same room. And some young people at the age of thirty cannot get married because of the housing problem.
The reasons for housing shortage are various, but I think the main reasons for it are as follows. First, with the development of economy, urban population increases so fast that the speed of building houses cannot meet the needs of city dwellers. Secondly, the government should invest much more money on building commercial centers and restaurants.
To conclude, to resolve the housing shortage in large cities is not an easy thing. It needs both the government and the individual to make efforts. On the one hand, the government should pay more attention to this problem existing in the city; on the other hand, the people who are not satisfied with their housing conditions do their best to improve it.
